LOCAL AND NATIONAL LEGISLATION

From regulation to practical implementation

We support public authorities in implementing air quality legislation, connecting technical requirements with local conditions and the available data.

We help identify what needs to be assessed, how to organise the information, and which aspects of monitoring networks need to be reviewed to guide action.

Technical support in three areas

  1. Define the requirements

Translate the regulatory framework into technical requirements for assessment, measurement and information reporting.

  2. Review monitoring networks

  3. Guide implementation

Identify information gaps and technical priorities to support implementation.

Measurement methodologies

Criteria for planning campaigns, organising sampling and documenting measurement conditions according to each study's objectives.

Planning · Sampling · Documentation

Data quality and processing

Guidance on reviewing, validating and managing data, with procedures that make it possible to trace decisions and interpret results.

Review · Validation · Traceability

Applying technical criteria

Supporting documents that translate requirements and methodologies into specific tasks, tailored to the context and the teams that will use them.

Criteria · Procedures · Implementation

Documents designed for practical use

We define the scope, level of detail and format according to the project's needs: from a methodological guide to a working protocol or a checklist.

ASSESSMENT AND PLANNING

Understand the situation. Guide the response.

Good planning starts with a thorough understanding of the area. We put air quality data into context to identify needs and support decision-making.

We consider available measurements, the distribution of monitoring locations and meteorological conditions to interpret results and identify where further investigation is needed.

Meteorology matters too

Wind, temperature and dispersion conditions help explain variations in pollutant concentrations. Taking this context into account makes it possible to interpret the data more accurately.

From assessment to ongoing monitoring

  1. Assess the starting point

Review the available data, the local context and the objectives of the assessment.

  2. Identify the needs

Identify information gaps and assess whether sampling needs to be expanded or further analysis is required.

  3. Set priorities

Provide technical criteria to guide action based on the results and the area's needs.

  4. Plan follow-up

Define indicators and data requirements to track changes and review decisions as new information becomes available.
